PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Historic Cowpens outdoor flags
are USA made of nylon flag material and are finished with a canvas heading and two brass grommets on the hoist side, 2 rows of stitching top and bottom sides and 4 rows of stitching on the fly side. They are attached to the flagpole by means of a halyard (rope) and flag snaps, or to smaller poles with flag fasteners. Standard stock size for Cowpens flags is 3x5 ft.

Cowpens desktop flags are made in the United States. Size is 4 x 6 inch, lightweight nylon material, hemmed all four sides, mounted on 10” black staffs with a golden spear point. Table top bases are available in black plastic to display from 1- 7 flags. Wood bases are available with either 10 holes or 12 holes to display additional flags.

FLAG DESCRIPTION / HISTORY
Battle of Cowpens, 1781 South Carolina
The Cowpens flag was the flag purportedly carried by the 3rd Maryland Regiment, which along with regiments from Virginia and Georgia successfuly battled British forces near Cowpens, South Carolina. The Battle was a key victory and turning point for American forces in the Southern Colonies. The flag is a 13 stars and stripes American flag, 13 alternating red and white stripes, with 13 white stars on the blue canton. The stars are arranged 12 in a circle with one single star in the center. It is one of several "Stripes and Stars" designs used during the Revolution and fitting teh requirement of the Congressional Flag Resolutuin of 1777. The Cowpens flag is featured in the famous painiting "Spirit of '76", though its actual appearance at the Battle of Cowpens is doubted by historians.
